At the time of the explosion at SMAN 72 Jakarta, the student was suspected of bringing seven explosive materials. Four of them exploded at two points and the other three did not detonate.The explosion at SMAN 72 Jakarta occurred on Friday, November 7, 2025. The incident took place around 12:30 PM when the students and teachers were performing Friday prayers in the school’s mosque located in the Kompleks Kodamar, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.The explosion occurred twice. The first explosion was inside the third-floor mosque. Then, followed by the second explosion a few minutes later from the rear area of the canteen. The explosions caused at least 96 people to be injured, including the suspected perpetrator.The explosion at SMAN 72 Jakarta school is suspected to have been planned by the student.
