This revenue increased by 2.1 percent compared to the same period last year.According to President Director of PT AirAsia Indonesia Tbk Captain Achmad Sadikin Abdurachman, the revenue increase was driven by the positive air travel trend and the company’s strategy to strengthen operational performance and cost efficiency. He mentioned that the movement of 4.44 million passengers in this quarter also contributed to the increase in AAID/CMPP’s revenue. Achmad said, “The 6 percent growth in ancillary revenue also strengthened the company’s financial performance,” in a written statement on Wednesday, October 28, 2025. In line with this positive trend, the opening of the Jakarta-Manado route in July 2025 also expanded domestic connectivity and strengthened Indonesia AirAsia’s reach in the eastern regions of Indonesia.Furthermore, Ahmad stated that seat sales remained the largest contributor to AAID/CMPP’s revenue in the third quarter of 2025, amounting to Rp 5.08 trillion. Meanwhile, revenue from various additional services, ranging from baggage fees, flight services, cargo, charter, and other ancillary revenue sources, contributed Rp 945.67 billion to the company’s total revenue. The revenue performance aligns with the sustained operational activities amidst market dynamics. Indonesia AirAsia prepared a capacity of up to 5.35 million seats and recorded a passenger load factor of 83 percent. Throughout this period, a total of 29,731 flights were operated as part of the company’s commitment to maintaining connectivity on various main routes.Achmad added that in this quarter, Indonesia AirAsia introduced the ‘Labuan Bajo Livery’ on one of its fleets. This initiative aims to showcase Indonesia’s charm to the international market while reinforcing the national tourism image. This step is expected to attract more international tourists and support tourism growth through Indonesia AirAsia’s flight network, which in the third quarter of 2025 covered 22 international destinations and 8 domestic destinations, as part of the AirAsia group’s network serving more than 130 destinations. As of the end of September 2025, AAID/CMPP recorded a total loss of Rp 982.51 billion. However, excluding exchange rate losses, the company’s operational performance actually showed a significant improvement with a 17.4 percent decrease in loss compared to the same period in 2024.The 3.4 percent increase in the depreciation of the US dollar exchange rate in this quarter compared to the previous year also exerted pressure on financial expenses, especially for operational costs using foreign currency.Nevertheless, cost efficiency and better operational management, reflected in a 2 percent decrease in CASK (Cost per Available Seat Kilometer) compared to the same period in 2024, indicate the company’s efforts to achieve sustainable profitability.Furthermore, Ahmad stated that route expansion will continue in the fourth quarter of 2025 to support sustainable financial growth. The focus is on strengthening the Surabaya hub through the opening of new domestic routes to Balikpapan, Tarakan, and Berau, as well as international routes to Bangkok-Don Mueang, Thailand. “This further emphasizes Indonesia AirAsia’s role in strengthening domestic network while expanding its international reach,” said Achmad.Editor’s Choice: AirAsia Domestic Flights Move to Terminal 2E at Soekarno-Hatta AirportClick here to get the latest news updates from Tempo on Google News AirAsia Indonesia’s Revenue Reached Rp6.03 Trillion Reporter Joniansyah October 29, 2025 | 09:56 am TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – AirAsia Indonesia Tbk (AAID/CMPP) recorded a revenue of Rp 6.03 trillion in the third quarter of 2025 or as of September 30, 2025.
