WFP/Ali Jadallah TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – At least 65,208 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, the Health Ministry said on Saturday in its latest update, as reported by Anadolu Agency.A ministry statement said 34 bodies had been brought to hospitals in the past 24 hours as a result of brutal Israeli attacks, mainly in Gaza City. The attacks also injured 200 others, bringing the total number of injured in Israeli attacks to 166,271. “Many victims remain trapped under rubble and on the roads, and rescue teams have not been able to reach them,” the ministry said. The ministry also stated that four Palestinians were killed and more than 18 injured while trying to obtain humanitarian aid in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Palestinians killed while seeking aid to 2,518, with more than 18,449 others injured since May 27.Many aid groups and international organizations have called the current US-approved Israeli aid system a death trap, with hundreds of starving Palestinians killed by Israel while seeking aid.The ministry stated that four more Palestinians, including a child, died from malnutrition and starvation in the past 24 hours.
