The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) released updated figures on Monday, December 1, 2025, reporting a total of 604 fatalities across three provinces: 283 in North Sumatra, 165 in West Sumatra, and 151 in Aceh.In addition, 464 people remain missing, around 2,600 have been injured, and 1.5 million residents have been affected. More than 570,700 people have been displaced by the disaster.BNPB reported that 50 regencies were impacted, including 3,500 houses heavily damaged, 4,100 moderately damaged, and 20,500 lightly damaged. Infrastructure damage includes 282 educational facilities and 271 bridges.The death toll has increased by 50 percent from the previous day.
